About Moore Considine Family
This is a copy of my family tree to share with anyone who is interested
in the Moore and Considine Families.
My main focus of research is on the Moore and Considine Families, however I'm
interested in all the sidetracks and tree branches along the way.
Apart from Christopher Cook who may have been a convict and who married Ellen
Considine there are no convicts in the Moore Considine family tree. However I
have two major sidetracks with convict ancestors.
One is Edward Whitton, my fourth great grandfather, who arrived on the first
fleet from England and married Ann Slater a convict from Ireland. Edward
didn't steal a loaf of bread to feed his starving family, he was found guilty
of highway robbery. The other is Jonathan G Harris, my third great
grandfather, who was found guilty of burglary and shipped to Australia in
1826. He had three wives and seventeen children.
Accuracy: The ancestral line back to Eleanor of Aquitaine is not a direct one.
Hugh Despensor ( The Elder) and Eleanor De Clare had two sons. Our line is
from Philip Le Despencer and Eleanor of Aquitaine is an ancestor of the wife
of the other son Hugh Despencer (The Younger).
All other information has been compiled by me largely from data supplied
generously by my many cousins and cousins of cousins.
Birth Death and Marriage records and certificates have been used where
available. They are not always accurate particularly Death certificates. These
are prepared from information supplied by a relative who is usually
emotionally distressed at the time and who may not be aware of data (family
skeletons) that has been concealed from them.
I'd be pleased to hear from anyone who is related and interested in any of
the families on this file.
